I cannot express how grateful I am to have been part of this class. I have learned from one of the best mentors ever, met so many brilliant minds, and have had the chance to boost my creative skills.
I am proud to present my photobook, a collection of my best work throughout this entire semester. I used Adobe InDesign to design all the parts of the book and then used Walmart’s online photobook to create my book. Enjoy!

This last one was a tricky shot. This young man is an upcoming YouTuber and I was trying to take a good shot of him while he filmed a music video.

This part of the project was my favorite because we had the opportunity to use Photoshop skills to construct creative shots and images.

This week as part of my digital imaging class, we focused on practicing shots including depth and motion. I’ve posted four photos to showcase what i have practiced.
I was doing a portrait shoot for a YouTuber when I decided to do this shot. I had my camera settings on an F-stop of 5.6 with a shutter speed of 1/50 and a ISO of 200. I had a speed-light over to my left with a LED light shining continuously in his face. Once I took the photo, I took it into Photoshop to darken the image, add more contrast, and put on a black and white filter.
One morning the earth decided to randomly open up it’s salt shaker and snow all over our college campus. I thought maybe this would be a good time to head over to the gardens and get a few shots. I was behind a tree when i took this shot. I had a F-stop of 5.6 with a shutter speed of 1/200. The ISO was 400. After I took the picture, I went into Photoshop and tried the best I could to brighten the image. I added just a little of cold temperature and finally had my photo.
This was the best I could accomplish for a freeze motion capture. At this point the snow was falling down quickly. I had my shutter speed at 1/200 with an aperture of 5.6. My ISO was at 800. This was the best shot I took with the snow flakes frozen in falling motion.
Motion blur was by far the hardest concept for me. I decided to keep it simple and see if I could snag a photo of a car passing by. I had an F-stop of 11 and a shutter speed of 1/200. The ISO was at 200. I took the photo into photoshop and darkened the image so it wasn’t too bright.
I am very proud to present my Photobook as my final class project for COMM 300. This book serves as my portfolio as it is a combination of my best photos. These photos range from macro photography, to portrait photography, to fine art photography.
This Photobook was designed by myself using Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop. All photos inside are original photos I took this past semester. This book was published using MyPublisher
